Trivandrum Lodge Malayalam Movie Review

Trivandrum Lodge Malayalam Movie Review
Trivandrum Lodge, directed by VK Prakash is crude, with lots of adult dialogues. However an outstanding screenplay by Anoop Menon , good execution by director VK Prakash and excellent performance by lead actors will help Trivandrum Lodge an outstanding watch.

Trivandrum Lodge tells the story of many people who lives in an old lodge named Trivandrum in Kochi. The movie goes through their different emotions, lust, sexual desires, happy moments and even their bad times. We have many characters, each one has their on visions. Each represents a life which may be a part of our day-to-day life. The movie talk about their mental status, emotions, attitudes, sexual desires and dissatisfaction. We have Abu (Jayasurya) who willing to do any work, and Ravishankar (Anoop Menon) who owns the Lodge, a hilarious retired clerk, Shibu (Syju Kurupu), a cinema reporter. In total how a divorced novelists Dhwani Nambiar’s (Honey Rose) arrival changes the life of many persons who are staying in Trivandrum Lodge…

The excellent performance by the entire artist that make another one reason, Trivandrum Lodge a pleasant and satisfying watch. Jayasurya as Abu is excellent, and I can’t imagine some other actor who portray the character’s innocent, lust and all other emotions such perfectly. Another gem to his acting career. Anoop Menon as the Lodge owner did another fantastic job and was perfect in his acting role too. Honey Rose, I believe this will be a career changing role for her, the boldness and the sensual moments of the divorced writer was perfect in her acting. Bhavana too come up with an excellent performance in her extended cameo. Janardanan, P.Jayachandran, Thasni Khan,  Sukumari, P.Balachandran, Saiju Kurup, Arun, Devi Ajith all came up with spirited performances. Even the child actors, Master Dhanajay and Baby Nayanthara too deserve special mentions.

The film has lots of surprises in the store, some of the good dialogues, some very good comedies, little twists and good subplots will make this Trivandrum Lodge an everlasting watch. Towards the climax film changes its track and take us to another story and end up with a predictable but good climax. It is Anoop Menon’s Script and dialogues which need a special mention. Though the double meaning dialogues could have been reduced. After beautiful again he proved that we can expect more from this aspiring writer. VK Prakash used the most of a brilliant script, and the cinematography was excellent and offer some great frames. Music by M Jayachandran suits the mode and BGM from Bijibal deserves a special mention. At the end a crisp editing by talented Mahesh Narayanan did the final touches.  Film tells us more than sensual and physical relation there is more in our life to think about. The beautiful team will not make us disappoint ..

“At the end Trivandrum Lodge is crude, hilarious, emotional and a feel good movie. Looks like getting good support from targeted audience.”

  5. this film is merely a display of emotions of different sets of people and lacks a definite story line…anoop menon is trying to be a budhi jeevi with the script conveying his own new perceptions which seems illogical at times….the director knows that the story line is weak to which he tried adjusting with the so called bold, sexual, double meaning dialogues to shock the audiences….i regret people calling the movie as a piece of art…atleast they ahould have relesaed with an A certificate…if this trend continues we will loose the old charm of malayalam movies due to these so called “bold” movies which only provide instant gratification….i am depressed

  6. fucking movie , and fucking review, not good for family, all vulgure comments. I don’t think the people who acted and made this movie has any family… Thts why Malayalam are not growing!!

    • Not all movies are meant to be watched with your family, there should be some diversity in genres after all. Trivandrum Lodge isn’t pretending to be a family. So, if it bothers you so much, don’t watch it or at least don’t take your kids along!

      • People like u are the ****ing sin to Malayalam Film Industry. Are u supporting this psycho movie or this psycho reviewer….

And the reviewer clearly mention that it has adult language, and he included that in negatives. Also no where he mentioned that this is good for family.

Pinne sure ayittu ee film hittakum :) Allenkil nee enne theri vilichooo :)
